Recently discovered YA books and authors
Here are some YA books that I have recently discovered and thought that others might like!
Undercover By Beth Kephart
Zen and the art of faking it By Jordan Sonnenblick
Smashed By Koren Zailckas
Lots more coming - these are just from last night! I would love to hear your comments and recommendations.

Jodi Picoult is one of my favorite authors and many of her books appeal to YAs. For example, Nineteen Minutes, chronicles the life of a boy who has been bullied his entire life. He lashes out, takes a gun to school and kills/maims several of his peers (high school). Picoult is a master at presenting both points of view - as you read, you can actually empathize with the boy. Her My Sister’s Keeper is coming out as a movie this summer - great book for YAs. Her latest, Change of Heart is also excellent. Picoult’s novels were among the favorites at the high school where I worked.

I have recently discovered a book called Bitter Tastes, by Victoria Rosendahl. It’s about a young girl who moves to a new school, and desperately tries to fit in, but just can’t with this secret she’s holding.
Reminds me a bit of Nancy Drew.
